When an Abscence is so big it becomes a present.

Alt–Panorama

Last Autumn, a double-exposed roll of color-film coincidentally fell into my hands.
There was no clue from where it came from, who was the one, or who were the several Image Taker(s) ?

Altmünster, Austria 2024.

Yet, I figured out the place where these pictures had been taken.
Through a Hotel sign on one of the images,
I could locate a small town in Austria near a big lake with a mountain Panorama.

I checked myself into said hotel for a few days. I never searched for the Person(s) who took these images, but rather the image itself.

The pulling effect of the images urged me, to go there, and see for myself, what that place is about.

I took what I saw for a guideline to which I should view my time there.

The big field with the view over the lake
and the mountains, the flash reflection in the window, the composition of the images.

The Grass I walked on at that time looks different now, but it doesn’t matter, because I can still feel the rain stopping midair through my memory.

To relive not the days one had, but to relive what the images told me and to make
up my own thoughts to forge a finite conversation that cannot be placed in time.

A sense of nostalgia, timelessness, grief, an old car radio, mist over dark water, empty roads.
